LES Dennis nearly let slip that he was part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing lineup before it was announced.
The Coronation Street star revealed today on Good Morning Britain that he was the fifteenth contestant, but he nearly gave it away a week ago.

Les, 69, told Ben Shephard and Ranvir Singh that he had accidentally tweeted a playlist that he had intended to send to BBC bosses on the show.
The Apple playlist was titled “Strictly by Les Dennis”.
He joked that his “fat fingers” were to blame, and when he had realised his blunder, he quickly deleted it.
“What happened was, the Strictly producers asked me to send a playlist of songs you might like,” he told the presenters.
“I’m totally hopeless with social media and all that so my daughter put it together for me, so I could send it to my agent by email but I must have done a fat finger error and put it on Twitter instead.”
The Good Morning Britain team had actually spotted the tweet and shared it on screen.
The playlist had 100-plus songs and it had been captioned with the letter V, which is part of a keyboard shortcut to pasting something online.
Les said that he had planned to slow down after his knee operation, but when he was sent the offer through from the show’s bosses he said he couldn’t say no.
“I’m thrilled to be doing this iconic wonderful show as I approach my 70th birthday! In my career I’ve always gone for challenges outside my comfort zone and this is the ultimate one! Can’t wait.”
Whilst most fans were thrilled at the idea of Les joining the show, some claimed he would have an unfair advantage because of his stage career.
The veteran performer has starred in Hairspray, Chicago and High School Musical, to name but a few productions, however, he describes his dance skills as limited.
He told Ben and Ranvir: “I do those shows, but when it comes to those things what I do is movement.
“I do a little soft shoe shuffle with Michael Ball in Hairspray, but when it comes to… I’m not trained at all and certainly not when it comes to ballroom and Latin. I don’t know about the Cha Cha Cha.”
Fans of the show have also mentioned Les’s stage credentials after he was revealed as the final star signing for this year’s series.
