TEEN Mom OG star Amber Portwood stormed off stage during Tuesday’s reunion.
The 31-year-old slammed her ex Gary Shirley for “blindsiding her” with news about their daughter Leah, 13.
During part one of the Teen Mom OG reunion on Tuesday, Amber and Gary, 35, sat down with Dr. Drew Pinsky to discuss how going to therapy together improved their strained relationship.
While Amber appeared to be in good spirits throughout the segment, her mood quickly shifted when Gary revealed that Leah is in therapy.
He said: “She is speaking to somebody, a professional.
“You probably didn’t know this. Per Leah’s request, she didn’t want it to be talked about. I have permission to talk about it and make it known.”
The MTV star continued: “Part of Leah going is she didn’t want anybody knowing to start off. I supported that.
“They are working on different things that she can do to help the communication start between her and her mom.”
In recent episodes of Teen Mom OG, viewers have seen Amber struggle to reconnect with Leah.
The teen lives with Gary and his wife Kristina full time, while the MTV star occasionally gets to visit their daughter.
After Gary revealed that Leah’s in therapy, Amber made it clear that the information is something she should have known.
She said: “Here’s the thing. I’m the mother.
“I need to understand what Leah is going through so I believe the communication should be there for that.
“I also think that Leah is a child. She is not an adult. She doesn’t need to say anything, but you can tell me.”
‘BLINDSIDED’
After she called out Gary for “blindsiding” her, she angrily continued: “You came out here with some bull crap. I just found out on camera, of course. Everything that you do is for television. Done!
“Everything that he does is for television. I’m out. Bye!”
Amber stormed out of the room as she called her ex “garbage.”
The mother of two then vented to a producer: “He can keep making his money off of me.
“This is ridiculous…I’m done.”
Fans may be surprised by Amber’s outburst, as she’s been an open advocate regarding therapy in the past.
GARY AND AMBER’S THERAPY SESSION
During last week’s episode, fans got to see Amber and Gary discuss their goals for co-parenting as they attended therapy together.
When asked why he joined his ex for therapy, Gary explained: “Me and my wife, we’re trying to have a relationship with Amber.
“Not only to be good co-parents, but also to try to be more understanding.”
After the therapist explained Amber’s borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder, Gary was asked is he’s “seen changes in Amber.”
Gary said “she don’t get angry as much,” adding: “Her Instagram posts, your videos- whether it’s directed towards her fans or directed towards us, Leah sees that and she doesn’t want that.”
Following clips of Amber called Gary’s wife a “homewrecker” on Instagram Live, he said: “What happens is some of her friends see it too and when they see it, it’s embarrassing for Leah.”
Amber responded: “I was having a really horrible manic episode and you go through man for a couple weeks, you talk a lot of s**t and you just feel horrible afterwards and when you get down you’re like, ‘Oh man, how can I fix this? Can I fix this?’”
She concluded: “How do you explain that to a 12-year-old?”
AMBER TARGETS KRISTINA
Back in March, Amber shocked fans when she called out Gary’s wife Kristina in an Instagram Live rant.
In a previous Teen Mom OG episode, Leah said she doesn’t have a “bond” with Amber and that Kristina is the one who looks after her.
Several hours after the episode aired, Amber took to Instagram to brand Kristina a “liar” and claim that she “spoils” Leah.
“When you’re a w***e, you’re a w***e. When you’re a homewrecker, you’re a homewrecker,” the MTV star said.
“When you’re a liar, you’re a liar,” she added.
