TEN Pound Poms viewers have had the same complaint about Michelle Keegan in the BBC drama.
The 36-year-old actress plays Kate Thorn, one of a group of Britons, who depart post-war Britain in 1956 for Australia, having been promised a better house, better job prospects and a better quality of life for just £10.

Some felt Michelle’s perfectly groomed, modern-day eyebrows were out of place in the 1950s drama
While the BBC’s costumes and sets perfectly reflect the era, some nitpickers didn’t feel the same about a certain element of Michelle’s appearance.
For them, Michelle’s perfectly groomed eyebrows were not in keeping with the 1950s aesthetic, and they took to Twitter to moan about it.
One wrote: “Enjoying this but Michelle Keegans eyebrows look a bit out of place for the era.”
Another added: “Michelle Keegan is the most beautiful woman but the microbladed brows and LVL does not fit the 1950’s theme.”
A third tweeted: “Not quite sure if Michelle Keegan is right for Ten Pound Poms. Did they have eyebrow microblading in 1956?”
But others were quick to defend Michelle and her fellow cast members, with one writing: “wow some of the tweets about this show are totally ridiculous. Moaning about actresses eyebrows and continuity making them switch off… not the racism and bigotry…. says alot…humans never learn.”
A fellow Ten Pound Poms fan wrote: “Just watched the final episode of ten pound poms, and accurate or not, it was a great series and i enjoyed everything about it. Michelle Keegan getting stick about her appearance but she’s still gorgeous and can act her socks off as did they all, hope there’s a second series.”
Others were full of praise for the actress and getting to see her in different roles.
One wrote: “I watching Ten Pound Poms every Sunday night. I really enjoyed the story. Good to see Michelle Keegan playing a different part in the show. I watched Michelle Keegan was in Coronation Street.”
Another shared: “Am I watching #TenPoundPoms because of Michelle Keegan? Yes, yes I am.”
A third tweeted: “I’m absolutely loving #TenPoundPoms on BBC iPlayer, Michelle Keegan and Faye Marsay are outstanding.”
Others were full of praise for the star and her latest acting project
Ten Pounds Poms airs Sundays at 9pm on BBC One and is available as a boxset on BBC iPlayer.
