Sergio refuses to talk about what happened, so a psychologist decides to release him from juvenile custody to observe his behaviours as he returns to the crime scene.

Viewers were left wondering whether Sergio murdered his parents or not.

However, all of this was revealed at the end in the final scene, which caught viewers off guard and was distressing.

Those at home were left terrified after seeing the disturbing scene with many saying that “they need therapy” after watching on Twitter.

One scared viewer wrote: “Just binged Muted Netflix and am going to need therapy!!!”

A second added: “Yesterday I binge watched Muted I can’t help but think after the 4th episode they just made it up as they went along…. what the heck even was that????!! It was a good watch but the ending was a bit too wild.”

A third penned: “If you wanna watch a good dark, twisted, and downright crazy plot twist of an ending type show; check out Muted Netflix. I guarantee you won’t guess how this show ends.”

A fourth wrote: “I can’t believe how weird and creepy Muted is on Netflix. I won’t be watching that again.”

A fifth added: “That was disturbing!! #Muted.”
