THE Apprentice fans were all left asking the same question about Harpreet Kaur’s sister after a very worrying sign in the finale.
On Thursday night, the BBC show came to an end after Harpreet‘s dessert empire beat Kathryn Burn‘s pyjama business to become Lord Alan Sugar‘s business partner.
Despite securing Lord Sugar’s £250,000 and becoming his 50/50 business partner, it was revealed that Harpreet’s sister, Gurvinder Kaur, is the co-founder of the winning company.
During the interviews episode last week, some will remember how Harpreet told the business mogul that she would happily ask her sister to step down from their venture should he decide to invest.
“If you didn’t want her as a shareholder or director, fine, she’s prepared to step down,” she told him.
Taken aback, Lord Sugar replied: “But she’s a 50 per cent owner isn’t she, at the moment?”

As Harpreet confirmed the news, the straight-talking east Londoner questioned: “How can you just tell somebody they no longer own 50 per cent of the business that Lord Sugar is investing in which is going to be worth 20, 30, 50 times more in five years time?”
After Harpreet was told she had been hired, many viewers took to social media to question what would become of the businesswoman’s sister.
Alongside an emoji of a shocked face, one person questioned: “So the big question is, what about Harpreets sister?”
Matching their curiosity, someone else asked: “So what’s gonna happen to Harpreet’s sister now?”
Others hazarded a guess that Harpreet’s sibling would now be on the hunt for a brand new job.
Harpreet became the show’s 17th winner and follows in the footsteps of the series 15 champion Carina Lepore, who also developed a business for those with a sweet tooth.
Carina won The Apprentice in 2019 before the show was forced to take a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Apprentice is available to stream on the BBC iPlayer.
