THE Apprentice star Amy Anzel lost a whopping five stone before making her debut on the BBC show.
Our exclusive pictures show the mum-of-one is unrecognisable as she showed off her impressive weight loss.
Amy, 48, struggled for years to shift her baby weight after being diagnosed with thyroid-related diseases while pregnant.
But as she set her sights on the 16th series of Lord Sugar’s show, Amy was determined to finally shift the weight – four years after giving birth.
“When I was pregnant my weight spiralled out of control,” Amy admitted to The Celeb Report.
“In the end I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, which had been brought on by pregnancy.
“Doctors told me I’d just have to live with the extra weight I’d gained because the conditions make it tough to shift.
“But my son was turning four and I thought ‘this is crazy, I have to get into shape’.
“I became so obsessed with the idea that I wouldn’t go another year without losing weight.
“I knew I was going for a spot on The Apprentice and the camera adds 10lbs.
“I took matters into my own hands. I researched my conditions to find out what would help lose the weight.
“For me it was low carbs, weight training and doing 10,000 steps a day.”
After just four months, Amy dropped a staggering five stone – and felt “sexy and confident” when she got the call to be an Apprentice candidate.
“I felt so good”, said 48-year-old American Amy.
“You know when you look your best and when you feel your best and I think one affects the other.
“It’s true that when you look good, you feel good.
“I worked very hard to squeeze into those dresses on The Apprentice. They were beautiful and figure-hugging.
“I remember thinking ‘I feel sexy and confident’.
“I think confidence shines through in how you carry yourself. Strong, beautiful, sexy and confident.”
Hypothyroidism is a condition where your thyroid doesn’t produce enough hormones.
Amy was also diagnosed with a thyroid related autoimmune disease called Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis – where the immune system makes antibodies that attack the thyroid.
Amy was the oldest contestant to ever compete on The Apprentice.
She was the sixth contestant to be fired – and claimed Lord Sugar’s decision was “bulls**t”.
Her axing sparked an ageism row, with Amy admitting the age gap between them created problems during tasks.
She is now focused on growing her beauty brand Hollywood Browzer without Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment.
