WHAT’S NEW
Bridgerton – Netflix
The global TV phenomenon that is Bridgerton finally returns, promising eight new episodes of raunchy Regency-era romance.
Following the departure of Regé-Jean Page – much to the continuing distress of legions of Bridgerton obsessives – the new season turns its attention to the romantic misadventures of Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), the eldest of the Bridgerton siblings.
Anthony is on the hunt for a suitable wife, which is mission impossible when you’re as picky as he is. But miracles do happen and when Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran) arrives on the scene from India, hot-headed charmer Anthony decides he’s found the perfect candidate for the job. Indeed, for him, it really is a job – he even has a job description: “Tolerable, dutiful, suitable enough hips for childbearing and at least half a brain.” Nice.
The moment Edwina’s sister Kate (Simone Ashley) gets wind that Anthony isn’t after Edwina as a love match, just as someone who fits the bill, she decides to do everything she can to stop their union. Trouble is, forbidden sparks are soon flying between Kate and Anthony. Oops.
We’ll also be catching up with all our other favourite characters, including Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), the Featheringtons – we’re excited to see how Penelope’s (Nicola Coughlan) story develops after last season’s big reveal – and Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who’s making her debut into society.

Pachinko – Apple TV+
If you like your family sagas epic, sweeping and cinematic, you’ll love this new drama based on the mega-selling novel by Min Jin Lee. Spread over eight episodes and centring around Sunja, a Korean woman desperate to forge a better life for herself, Pachinko is the story of four generations of one family, and it’s a heady tale of war, romance, crime and ambition.
Hopping between decades and continents, it features a strong cast – including Korean legend Youn Yuh-jung as middle-aged Sunja – and is told in Japanese, Korean and English.

Full Metal Junkies – Discovery+
From an American school bus transformed into luxury mobile holiday home, to two double deckers that slot next to each other to create a swanky full size house, it seems that is beyond Jim Stewart and his hilarious team of craftsmen, carpenters and welders who work wonders at their vehicle upcycling yard.
In this fantastic six-part series, we follow Jim and the guys as they pull off some genuinely mind-blowing transformations – and have an awesome, laughter-filled time doing it.

Arsene Wenger: Invincible – Amazon Prime
The life and legacy of legendary Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger is celebrated in this intimate new documentary, which uses the Gunners’ unbeaten 2003-2004 Premier League season as a backdrop.
Featuring insights from the man himself – he admits his hatred of losing sometimes made him “inhuman” – the film includes contributions from the likes of Thierry Henry, Ian Wright and nemesis-turned-friend Sir Alex Ferguson.

Luxe Listings Sydney – Amazon Prime
There was loads to love about the first series of this Australian take on the craze for real estate reality shows. The houses were spectacular, the city stunning and the agents – D’Leanne Lewis, Simon Cohen and Gavin Rubinstein –an enjoyable blend of ambitious and, well, awful.
Expect more of the same as the trio return, hustling their way to some more mega-money house deals.

Top Boy – Netflix
Yes it’s violent, yes it’s gritty, but the new season of the hit crime drama is also horribly gripping. Dushane (Ashley Walters) still rules the roost on the Summerhouse Estate but trouble is brewing and he’s soon seeking help from an unexpected quarter..
Our House – ITV Hub & Sky On Demand
Featuring strong performances from Martin Compston and Tuppence Middleton, plus a huge London house that’s guaranteed to give you powerful envy, this slick psychological thriller tells a story of betrayal, blackmail and the break up of a family.
The Weekend Away -Netflix
If you enjoyed Channel 5 drama The Holiday, you’re likely to be swept along by this tense movie thriller. When her bestie Kate goes missing during a girls weekend to Croatia, new mum Beth (Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester) sets out to discover what has happened to her.
The Last Days Of Ptolemy Grey – Apple TV+
This original and moving murder-mystery thriller boasts Samuel L Jackson at his best, playing elderly dementia sufferer Ptolemy, who uses the time and clarity granted to him by a miracle new drug to investigate the killing of his beloved nephew.
