Emma Corrin has revealed what advice she would give Elizabeth Debicki when she takes over as Princess Diana in The Crown

However, every two seasons, The Crown cast is refreshed to reflect the ageing of the Royal Family and so Elizabeth, 30, will take over the role for season five.

In a recent chat with Vulture, Emma admitted she hadn’t spoken to Elizabeth about the role but said: “I would be so willing to if she wanted to reach out, but that’s a decision she has to make for herself.”

If Elizabeth did want to chat about playing the Princess, she revealed what advice she would give her.

She said: “Make it your own. Put blinkers on for the rest of the world and for the pressure.

Emma said she would tell Elizabeth to block out the pressure that comes with playing Diana

“Grab onto things that resonate with you, that you can relate to, or that you can empathise with. And always trust the script. It won’t let you down.”

Emma certainly made an impact in the role, and was nominated for best performance by an actress in a drama television series at the Golden Globes alongside Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II.

Fellow cast members Gillian Anderson, Josh O’Connor and Helena Bonham Carter also received nominations, while the show’s creator Peter Morgan received a best drama television series nomination.

Meanwhile, Emma has reportedly landed her first movie role alongside former One Direction singer Harry Styles.

Emma will play Harry’s wife in My Policeman which is set in the late 1990s and will follow “the arrival of elderly invalid Patrick into Marion and Tom’s home.”

This “triggers the exploration of seismic events from 40 years previous: the passionate relationship between Tom and Patrick at a time when homosexuality was illegal.”

The Crown series 1-4 is available on Netflix.
