During their mammoth road trip, they sample some Soviet-style Formula 1 and recruit a famous racing driver.

Plus, the lads are attacked by deadly archers and take part in a spectacular Fast And Furious-style climax.

As well as all the car-related hi-jinx and stunts, there is plenty of humour along the way as the trio wind each other up as they go.

It’s left The Grand Tour viewers in hysterics, with one writing on Twitter: “New #thegrandtour #eurocrash is out today and I’m only 15 minutes in and already laughed a handful of times.”

Another added: “The new episode of The Grand Tour is absolutely f***ing brilliant. I haven’t laughed that hard at a show for a long time.”

A third tweeted: “best episode yet! Proper belly laugh! “The candelabra is in tatters” Nigel Mansell?! Genius!!”

Meanwhile a fourth shared: “OK, the #Eurocrash @thegrandtour
is the best road trip @MrJamesMay @JeremyClarkson #hamster have done in years.”

While fans are loving the new episode, James, 60, has admitted he didn’t have the best time filming it.

He told Radio Times: “Well, I continue to say one of us has a pretty terrible time. The other two are basically on holiday.

“There’s are a couple of small disasters and there’s one quite dramatic one but I shouldn’t tell you what it is yet.”

He added that part of the problem is the car he opted to use for the show, saying: “It particularly wasn’t the case for me, to be honest, but it was sort of my own fault because I bought that car so I had to stick with it.

“It’s a bit like getting a dog from the rescue centre, once you’ve committed you’ve got to stick with it.”
