The One Show viewers rage ‘not good enough!’ as BBC announces most last minute schedule shake-up yet

THE One Show viewers were left infuriated after the BBC announced a last minute schedule shake-up due to extended news coverage.

On Tuesday evening, die-hard fans of the chat show were unable to hide their frustrations after the show was pushed back with barely any notice.

The One Show was delayed due to extended news coverage on the BBC

It came after Health Secretary Sajid Javid and Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced their resignation

Taking to the official Twitter account of The One Show, they explained: “Tonight’s One Show will be on slightly later than billed, stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated.

The delayed schedule came after Chancellor Rishi Sunak and Health Secretary Sajid Javid announced their resignation.

Fans took to Twitter in their droves to complain about the move – and they didn’t hold back.

Alongside an array of angry-faced emojis, one person penned: “Delayed because two ignorant ministers finally decided to take the advice of the public and resign? Absolute tosh.”

Echoing their comments, someone else said: “No one cares about the news. We’re off partying that Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid have resigned! Bring back The One Show!”

While a third remarked: “Ridiculous move from the BBC to delay The One Show tonight. Stick it on the BBC News channel and clear off.”

As the show kicked off 30 minutes later than planned, neither presenters Alex Jones nor Jermaine Jenas addressed the delay.

They did, however, mention the latest government news.

Alex commented: “Big news in politics tonight, but we are going to leave that to the news to discuss.”

The One Show has been one of many programmes to suffer multiple schedule shake-ups, more recently due to Wimbledon.

The sporting tournament has been aired across the BBC’s main channels throughout the day, Monday to Sunday.

Whilst presenters Alex, Jermaine, Alex Scott, Ronan Keating and many others are normally broadcasting from BBC One, they have been bumped to BBC Two a few times.

The One Show airs weekdays from 7pm on BBC One.
