This Morning fans baffled as the screen suddenly goes dark – as viewers worry their TVs are broken

THIS Morning fans were baffled today when the screen went dark mid-way though the show.

Many viewers were left adjusting the setting on their TV sets after the studio contrast got dialled down.

Viewers were confused when This Morning was plunged into gloom

One asked: “Is it my tv or has filter on back in the studio gone a different colour?”

Another tweeted: “Either my TV’s f**ked or #ThisMorning have changed the colour of the studio.”

A third asked: “Has anyone else got a weird colour contrast on #thismorning or is it my tv?”

Others complained about the “faded” colour with one writing: “Thought either my eyes or the telly was going wonky..”

However, many pointed out that since the colour seeped away during a Peaky Blinders fashion feature the move was likely to be intentional.

The gritty BBC drama, which is set in the early 1900s, is famous for its washed-out colour scheme.

One This Morning viewer insisted: “Think it’s supposed to be atmospheric?….”

Another fumed: “I was adjusting the colour settings on my TV when I just realised that the washed up picture was ON PURPOSE. Thanks a lot, you w

s.”

The bright colours returned when the show came back from a break though why it had been so gloomy in the previous feature was never explained.

Dermot O’Leary is hosting today alongside Alison Hammond, who also stood in on the ITV series yesterday.

She appeared in place of Holly Willoughby, who was due to host with Phillip Schofield before being ruled out with Covid.
