THIS Morning has revealed there’s another changing of the guard tomorrow – with Josie Gibson being replaced.
The show has been fronted by the star and Phillip Schofield after Holly Willoughby was ruled out with Covid.
But she revealed at the close of today’s episode that Alison Hammond would be stepping in tomorrow.
Josie, 37, explained she would be at the Cheltenham Festival, the horse racing event that ITV holds the broadcasting rights to.
She said, turning to her co-host: “I’m so lucky because I’m off to Cheltenham races and my good pal Alison will be here to keep you company, Phil.”
Phillip, 59, replied: “Lovely, can’t wait for that. Thank you for this week.”
Signing off for the day, Phillip told viewers: “We’ll see you tomorrow.”
Alison is very used to fronting This Morning, having presented the Friday edition of the show with Dermot O’Leary for more than a year.
She also hosted with Holly when it was Phillip who was laid low with Covid back in February.
Josie was drafted onto This Morning at short notice this week after it was revealed that Holly, 41, had Covid.
She was forced to pull out of Dancing On Ice, leaving Phillip to present the skating show by himself.
ITV said: “Unfortunately, Holly Willoughby is unable to host tonight’s show after testing positive for Covid-19. We look forward to Holly returning for the Dancing on Ice Live Final.”
The Celeb Report revealed earlier this week that ITV had Josie, Alison and Rochelle Humes on standby to replace Holly until she returns a negative Covid-19 test.
A source said: “Holly will be missed this week but Rochelle, Alison and Josie are more than capable of stepping in and holding the fort until Holly’s back.”
