The Zig Zag production has been likened to the hugely popular Beadle’s About.

And show bosses are keen to get Freddie on board.

A TV source told the Daily Star: “Freddie is the natural fit for the show.

“He’s a larger-than-life character who loves a laugh and a joke, and a show with him helping people to prank their friends would be a huge ratings winner.

Freddie has been a huge success on the box

The presenter landed Top Gear in 2019

Freddie has previously appeared on ITV’s Don’t Rock The Boat

“The makers want him to front the show and that would also go a long way to helping them secure the best slot on TV for the product.”

Jeremy, the television personality best known for Beadle’s About and You’ve Been Framed, died of pneumonia in 2008.

The star regularly pulled in audiences of more than 15 million with his prank shows.

Meanwhile, Freddie has also been a huge success on the box since launching his media career in 2010.

The sportsman has spent over 10 years as a team captain on popular Sky panel show League Of Their Own, alongside Jamie Redknapp.

In 2019, he joined Top Gear as part of a new look relaunch with Chris Harris and Paddy McGuinness.

Plus, he recently appeared on ITV’s DNA Journey with former footballer Jamie.

The show originally started out as a one-off special following TV presenting duo, Ant and Dec.
