TRIGGER Point viewers were left raging after they spotted Vicky McClure’s character making a huge blunder on the ITV show.
The Line Of Duty actress stars as bomb disposal officer Lana Washington, tasked with helping to bring down a terrorist campaign that is threatening London.
Tensions rose during the final few minutes of Sunday night’s effort as Lana had less than two minutes to diffuse a nail bomb, which was hung on a door with someone chained behind it.
However, fans kept being distracted by a huge error made by Lana every time she was tasked with diffusing a bomb.
Taking to Twitter, one fan questioned: “Why does she keep taking her helmet off? That’s one thing no bomb disposal unit would ever do, surely?”
Echoing their comments, someone else said: “Why do they walk in with their mask and goggles on, but take them off as soon as they are in front of the bomb?”
While a third penned: “I don’t understand why she puts on all her gear, just to take it off as soon as she’s staring at a bomb.”
Wearing a mask and goggles isn’t the only thing that Vicky has stripped back on – as the actor recently revealed that she’s also ditched her bra and make-up for the role, too.
“I think it’s important to strip things back and be comfortable,” said the 38-year-old.
“I mean, my body isn’t fully toned – people will see the real Vicky, as well as Lana – I’m not hiding anything.”
