What time is Autumnwatch 2021 on tonight on BBC Two?

AUTUMNWATCH returns TONIGHT (October 26) to showcase its new episodes of the wildlife across the UK.

When does Autumnwatch 2021 start?

Autumnwatch finally returns for its 2021 series.

The series airs on October 26 at 8pm on BBC Two.

If you miss an episode or want to watch any previous episodes, they will be available to watch on Iplayer.

Who presents Autumnwatch 2021? 

Chris Packham, Gillian Burke , Megan McCubbin and Michaela Strachan will be presenting the show.

Chris Packham will be presenting Autumnwatch 2021

Chris is a naturalist, nature photographer, television presenter and author.

He hosted The Really Wild Show from 1986 to 1995 and has presented Springwatch, including Autumnwatch and Winterwatch, since 2009.

Chris has also presented a string of other programmes, including a documentary called Inside the Animal Mind, a two-part series for the BBC, Cats v. Dogs: Which Is Best?, and he co-presented Earth Live on NatGeo Wild with Jane Lynch and Phil Keogan.

Packham was born in Southampton on 4 May 1961 – that makes him 56 – and lives in the New Forest with his pet poodle, Scratchy.

He’s dating Charlotte Corney, owner of the Isle of Wight Zoo – but the couple doesn’t live together.

Gillian Burke



Gillian Burke will be presenting Autumnwatch 2021

Gillian was born just outside Nairobi, Kenya an lived what she describes as a “very happily feral” childhood, hunting barefoot for insects outside their house.

“I hated shoes,” she told the Radio Times, “and would kick them off as soon as I got home from school”.

She studied biology at Bristol University before working as a researcher for BBC’s Natural History Unit.

Gillian now lives in Cornwall with her two children.

Megan McCubbin 

Megan is Chris Packham’s stepdaughter. She was new to last year’s Springwatch and Autumnwatch and is returning for Winterwatch.

Her bio reads: “Megan is a passionate scientist with a particular interest in behaviour, evolution and the illegal wildlife trade. Her interest stems from a childhood growing up in and around the Isle of Wight Zoo, which specialises in the rescue and rehabilitation of ex-circus and pet trade animals.”

Michaela Strachan



Michaela Strachan will be presenting Autumnwatch

Michaela Strachan is an English television presenter.

She was born in Epsom, Surrey, and grew up in Hinchley Wood.

Before her many roles on national television, Strachan performed in theatre.

She gave birth to her son Oliver on June 8, 2005, who she had with partner, Nick Chevallier.

In October 2014, she revealed that she had a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery following a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Since 2012, she has been the host on the BBC show, Springwatch.

In 2019, she revealed that she was now cancer free.

The presenter was stuck in South Africa and was unable to return back to the UK because of lockdown, so missed the 2020 springwatch season.

Where is Autumnwatch filmed?

BBC Autumnwatch is returning to Norfolk again this year to explore what has changed in the county’s natural world since spring.

The first episode will see Chris and Michael settle into their base in Wild Ken Hill.

The episode will also head to Northern Ireland where Gillian discovers how moles hide and store worms for the colder months.

Megan is on the Isle of Mull, which is famous for its eagles, red deer and otters.
