What time is the Strictly Come Dancing final tonight?

The Strictly Come Dancing final will air live on BBC One tonight (Saturday, December 19).

The show will start at 6pm and will be on for 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Who are the Strictly finalists?

Four couples remain in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The finalists will perform three dances – the Judges’ Pick, the Showdance, and their favourite routine of the series.

One by one, the celebrities have been voted off after facing the dreaded dance off.

Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh was eliminated at the semi final stage as she came up short in the dance off against Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing.

Maisie and Gorka

  • The Celeb Report exclusively revealed that Maisie Smith was joining the line-up.
  • Maisie has a head start as she won a Children in Need/Strictly special with pro Kevin Clifton in 2019.
  • The 19-year-old actress is better known as Tiffany Butcher in the BBC soap EastEnders.
  • Maisie has found herself in the bottom two twice but achieved her first perfect score – three tens – in the semi finals on December 12.

HRVY and Janette

  • Pop star HRVY was the 11th contestant confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing.
  • The musician and YouTuber, 21, real name Harvey Leigh Cantwell, said: “Being on Strictly is going to be such an amazing experience and I’m so thankful to be taking part this year.
  • HRVY has been a strong contestant throughout and has never got below 21 points.
  • He made Strictly history after landing the first perfect score in week six.
  • The singer is currently 7/4 to lift the crown according to the bookies.

Bill and Oti

  • Comedian and actor Bill Bailey is renowned for his appearances on panel shows Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News for You, and QI.
  • He has a very special reason for signing up to Strictly, because his mum loved the show.
  • Bill, 55, finally decided to do Strictly Come Dancing after his live show commitments dried up due to the coronavirus pandemic.
  • He is the bookies favourite to lift the glitterball as punters can get odds of 5/6.

Jamie and Karen

  • Made In Chelsea star Jamie was confirmed to return to the show after he was forced to pull out of the 2019 series before the first episode, when he injured himself on the red carpet launch.
  • Jamie was due to dance with Oti Mabuse, but was replaced by Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher – who went on to win the show.
  • This year, he was paired with Karen Hauer and has made the final despite performing in the dance off four times.

What do the Strictly winners get?

The winners will receive the glitterball trophy, but contestants in the final are rewarded handsomely.

It’s thought that celebrities who sign up for the show get a £25,000 fee and if they make it to October, it goes up to £40,000.

Stacey Dooley, who won Strictly in 2018, reportedly pocketed a £100,000 fee for her time on the show.

The pay packets may differ slightly as due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s series is shorter than usual.
