HOLLY Willoughby is known for brightening up our week days on This Morning.
The ITV favourite usually present the daytime show with Phil from Monday to Thursday, but the 39-year-old star is missing from the show today.
Why isn’t Holly Willoughby on This Morning today?
Holly and Phil took time off in December for their regular Christmas break.
However, when Phil returned to the show today (January 4, 2021) Holly was absent.
Phil explained her absence saying she needed to spend “a couple of extra days with the family”.
He told viewers: “Hiya and happy new year. Welcome to the very first This Morning of 2021. Holly is spending a couple of extra days with the family, so Rochelle is here.”
When will she be back?
Holly has been presenting the show since 2009.
An exact date for her to return is yet to be revealed, but it is likely to be some time this week.
Many parents are having to look after their children at home today after a government U-turn saw schools in London, where Holly lives, closed.
The star last missed This Morning in November 2020, when her children were being tested for coronavirus.
Who has replaced her?
Holly is replaced by Rochelle Humes, who hosted alongside Phillip in her place.
The Saturdays singer has become a fan favourite on This Morning.
She famously replaced Holly when she headed to the jungle to host I’m A Celebrity in 2018.
