ITV’s Benidorm has been a big hit for ten years
Where is the Solana Hotel from Benidorm?
The Solana is the hotel featured in the show where the characters stay.
However, although the hotel featured is a REAL hotel, it is not called the Solana – and there are two of them.
The hotel is actually called Sol Pelícanos Ocas and it is a twin hotel with the outside shots and pool scenes filmed there.
It is in Benidorm, Alicante, Spain.
You too could stay at the Solana Hotel, real name Sol Pelícanos Ocas
Can you stay at the hotel?
Yes you CAN stay at the Sol Pelicanos Ocas hotel.
The twin hotel gives you access to both properties’ facilities, so you get double the benefit during your stay.
The hotel has three pools, two buffet restaurants and five bars.
Guests can dine just like the ones in the Benidorm TV show, and opt for the All Inclusive deal, which as Mick Garvey in Season 1 would say: “It means it’s all free!”
You can soak up the sun by one of the famous pools
You can also stretch our by one of the famous pools and soak up the Spanish sun.
It includes the swim up bar which is featured on the hit show.
There is a kids club and the beach is only 300m away.
The hotel is located 50km from Alicante Airport.
Unfortunately, you won’t find the Solana’s reception area or Kenneth’s Blow and Go salon, as these scenes are filmed on a set half a mile away from the real hotel.
The room scenes are also filmed in the Acuarium II Apartments, which are next door to the Sol Pelícanos Ocas hotel.
And if you did fancy popping to the Solana karaoke bar Neptune’s, this is actually over the road from the Sol Pelícanos Ocas and is really called Morgan’s Tavern.
You can have a go in the karaoke bar
How much does it cost to stay at the hotel?
Prices vary from when you are going and where you are flying out from.
They also depend on the time of year you are going.
