Lord Sugar returns for the sixteenth season of The Apprentice

Alan Sugar returns for season sixteen as head judge of the contest, having appeared in all fifteen former UK series.

He is a British business magnate, media personality, author, politician and political adviser. 

He founded Amstrad in 1968, was a former Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur FC and now has an estimated worth of over £1 billion.

He is notoriously known for being outspoken and saying what’s on his mind.

He’s been involved in various disagreements with other celebrities including former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan.

Karren Brady



Karren Brady returns as one of Lord Sugar’s aides

Joining Lord Sugar in the boardroom will be Baroness Karren Brady, the current Vice-Chairman of West Ham United FC.

Karren has been one of Lord Sugar’s aides since 2009 after she replaced Margaret Mountford.

At just 23-years-old, Karren was the managing director of Birmingham City F.C in 1993 and remained in the role until 2009 until it was sold.

Karren plays a vital aide to Lord Sugar as she helps him to decide who is worthy of his investment.

Tim Campbell



Former Apprentice winner Tim Campbell stands in for Claude Littner

Newcomer Tim Campbell will be joining the judging panel. 

He is a former Apprentice winner and will be standing in for Claude Littner, who is unable to participate in the new series due to medical reasons.

Tim was the winner of the first-ever series of the UK version of The Apprentice after securing a £100,000-a-year job working for Lord Sugar.

He is the first-ever Apprentice star to become a judge on the show, and was taken on by Alan Sugar’s company Amstrad after winning in 2005.

Tim is now a co-founder of a digital marketing agency in London in 2016 and is also the chairman of the governing body of the secondary school he attended as a child in London.

The Apprentice 2022 kicks off Thursday, January 6 at 9pm on BBC One.

Sixteen new candidates will be entering The Apprentice, but only one candidate will be crowned the winner.

The winner of the series will receive a £250,000 business injection price and the partnership of Lord Sugar himself.
