THE heartwarming BBC Two series Autumnwatch is back for another season.
For the 2022 series the wildlife expert presenters are in Norfolk and Wales.
Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan, Gillian Burke, and Iolo Williams are hosting Autumnwatch in 2022
Who are the Autumnwatch 2022 presenters?
Chris Packham
Chris Packham is back as a host on Autumnwatch
Chris Packham is a naturalist, nature photographer, television presenter and author.
He hosted The Really Wild Show from 1986 to 1995 and has presented Springwatch, Autumnwatch, and Winterwatch, since 2009.
Chris has also presented a string of other programmes, including a documentary called Inside the Animal Mind, a two-part series for the BBC, Cats v. Dogs: Which Is Best?, and he co-presented Earth Live on NatGeo Wild with Jane Lynch and Phil Keogan.
He’s dating Charlotte Corney, the owner of the Isle of Wight Zoo.
Gillian Burke
Gillian Burke once again joins the presenting team for Autumnwatch
Gillian Burke was born just outside Nairobi, Kenya and lived what she describes as a “very happily feral” childhood, hunting barefoot for insects outside their house.
“I hated shoes,” she told the Radio Times, “and would kick them off as soon as I got home from school”.
She studied biology at Bristol University before working as a researcher for BBC’s Natural History Unit.
Gillian now lives in Cornwall with her two children.
Michaela Strachan
Michaela Strachan is a telly favourite amongst wildlife fans
Hailing from Epsom, Surrey, Michaela began her career as performer in theatre before moving on to Saturday-morning television in the 1980s.
Like Chris, she is known for the 80s kids show, The Really Wild Show.
During her long career, Michaela has been a presenter for GMTV, and Wide Awake Club – she was also a regular reporter for BBC One’s Countryfile.
She also hosts Springwatch and Winterwatch.
Iolo Williams
Iolo Williams Returns to Autumn watch for the 2022 series
Good new for fans, Iolo Williams is back on Autumnwatch for the new series, after he missed the 2021 season.
He was unavailable for the last series due to “conflicting schedules”.
But the Welsh wonder, who joined the series back in 2019, is back on the show.
Iolo has a long history as a wildlife expert.
He joined the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) in 1985, where he stayed for 14 years and worked as a regional co-ordinator.
This led to him making appearances in the media and he made a name for himself as a leading expert on Welsh bird life.
When is Autumnwatch 2022 on TV?
Autumnwatch makes its return to telly TONIGHT (October 25, 2022) at 8pm on BBC Two.
The show then continues all this week at the same time, concluding on Friday (October 28, 2022).
