HAMPSHIRE born Oli Marlow is determined to follow boss, and previous Great British Menu contestant, Simon Rogan’s footsteps.
Here’s what we know about the 30 year old exec chef.
Who is Great British Menu 2021 finalist Oli Marlow?
Oli always wanted to be a chef telling The Staff Canteen: “I get so much pleasure from eating food, I think it was only natural for me to become a chef.
“I trained at Bournemouth college and did a 3-year apprenticeship at the Chewton Glen hotel in Hampshire.”
Oli’s style of food is influenced by classical English flavours and he is hoping to win the Great British Menu through these type of dishes.
He secured a spot in the final with the highest score across his four courses, gaining 38 points.
Oli will be hoping to beat the other contestants in the final tonight (Friday, May 21).
When was he awarded a Michelin star?
Oli currently works at Roganic and Aulis London and Roganic Hong Kong where he is the executive chef.
He has worked at theses restaurants for over four years.
Roganic Hong Kong won its first Michelin star in January 2021.
Roganic London also won a star but had to close in December last year due to Covid-19.
Oli has also worked at:
- The Fat Duck – a 3 Michelin star restaurant
- Eleven Madison Park – a 3 Michelin star restaurant
- Maaemo – a 3 Michelin star restaurant
Oli’s team also won four rosettes at the AA awards in 2019 for Roganic London, after it featured at 20, on Good Food Guide’s list of restaurants.

The final will also be available on BBC iPlayer after it has been aired.
