Amazon Prime viewers terrified by ‘unhinged’ horror film Malignant with shocking twist

AMAZON Prime viewers were left unable to sleep after watching Malignant, which came with a ‘ludicrous’ twist.

From the creator of horrors such as Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring, Malignant has been described as “unhinged” by fans watching from behind their hands.

Annabelle Wallis stars as Madison Mitchell who is tormented by harrowing visions of blood-thirsty murders.

As the film goes on, she soon discovers that these waking dreams are in fact terrifying realities.

The movie came out in 2021 but has been doing the rounds on Amazon Prime had provoking reaction with viewers.

“The movie offers a twist that’s so ludicrous I simply had to applaud it,” one wrote on Twitter.

“When I say I’m done with epic movies, that I’m bored with epic, and only want to watch UNHINGED movies, I’m talking specifically about Malignant,” another added.

A third said: “Malignant rewatch, this is the greatest movie ever made probably,” while another chimed: “Malignant is one of the best horror movies I watched. Just loved every bit of it.”

Whereas one gave a mixed review, writing: “This sure was a bad James Wan movie until the last 30min where its the best thing he’s ever put to screen.

“I think he should have his wife write insane scripts more often but have someone else direct it,” they added.

The Australian filmmaker is also behind Aquaman and M3GAN, which features a scary robot doll.

This comes as Netflix viewers were left “crying their eyes out” over troubling new horror movie Soft & Quiet.

The flick, which is now available on the streaming service, has been branded “unsettling” by viewers troubled by its content.

Soft & Quiet’s plotline follows school teacher Emily who comes into contact with someone from her past, which is proving disconcerting.

Netflix warns how the education professional’s meet-ups with similar women “sparks a volatile chain of events when she encounters a face from her past.”

Director and writer Beth de Araújo’s film was described as a “timely American nightmare” on its release.
