Channel 5 confirms fate of beloved animal show after 15 series

CHANNEL 5 has confirmed the fate of a beloved animal show after 15 series on air.

The broadcaster has announced The Yorkshire Vet will be back soon for a 16th series.

The beloved show returns to screens this month

The show follows the lives of veterinarians Peter Wright and Julian Norton as they help sick and injured animals.

Cameras capture a typical day across four practices in the county, from all the drama and tears to happy endings.

The vets also encounter all kinds of colourful characters, from children to kindly old ladies to larger-than-life, straight-talking farmers.

Show bosses recently took to social media to tease the upcoming series, leaving fans excited.

They said: “Hi everyone, Happy Easter from all of us. Do you fancy a little taste of what’s coming in our new series? Which starts Tuesday 25th April on C5.

“Hopefully it’ll feel like the return of old friends.”

Replying to the clip, one fan said: “Very much looking forward to this.”

A second said: “Can’t wait for the new series to start also looking forward to new all creatures great and small.”

“Very much looking forward to seeing you all again,” said a third.

While a fourth commented: “Looking forward to seeing all the team again. And of course at some point I’m sure a visit to Mr and Mrs Green.”

During the previous series fans were left horrified after a dog was seriously injured.

Oscar – a rescue lurcher – had been brought in by his distraught owner after being attacked by another pooch.

The camera zoomed in on Oscar’s open wounds as one of the vets said: “It’s obviously grabbed him and then ragged him.”
